Free digital literacy classes at Feeding Tampa Bay: Building essential tech skills in our community

Digital skills are essential for accessing job opportunities, managing everyday tasks, and staying connected in an increasingly digital world. Yet, many people still face barriers to learning how to use technology with confidence.

Through the Digital Education and Access initiative, the Digital Education Foundation, in collaboration with Community Tech House, eSmart Recycling, and Feeding Tampa Bay, is helping bridge that gap by offering a free, in-person computer literacy program designed for beginners.

Starting Tuesday, November 3, 2026, community members can join a five-week series of hands-on classes with step-by-step guidance in a welcoming, supportive environment. No previous computer experience is required.

Building digital equity through community partnerships

Digital inclusion starts with access, but it grows through education, guidance, and opportunities to practice.

By bringing together organizations committed to technology, education, and community development, this initiative helps make essential digital skills more accessible to individuals who want to become more confident using technology.

Through this collaboration, the Digital Education Foundation, Community Tech House, eSmart Recycling, and Feeding Tampa Bay are working to create meaningful learning opportunities that empower community members to take their next steps toward digital independence.
